Remote _ Testing
By remote - We don't mean we will make up some numbers, it means we will come to you to test*. Providing your have a smart trainer, or at least the ability to control the power then we can do this for you. It means we can test you with your power meter, allowing the results to be applicable to the device you use.
2
Field_Testing
Have something more specific in mind? We can also do feild best testing depending on your needs as well. Let us know what you need and we can sort this for you. POR
3
Team Testing / Training Camps
Want multiple profiles during a team camp or do you want to offer some performance assessments as part of it. We can do this and help with the logistics as well. This is available in the UK and Europe, we are more than happy to travel.
Value of using blood lactate?
The Simple Version
It allows us to understand your physiology with more depth. Something i'm sure you have heard of before. But it allows us to see how you respond with intensity, in addition allowing us to determine your LT1 and LT2. It means we can [1] assess where you currently, it can help direct your training with an objective measure [2] We can assess progress as well [3] it requires no pacing, unlike maximal power duration tests. Saying that we would often advise you complete a critical power assessment as well.
This is open for coaches to use, we can work with you so you can get the most out of your athletes as well. This is an all inclusive, we just want to help with performance. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. We are happy to share our methods/protocol. Or if you have a prefered variation we can carry that out for you as well.
THE PROCESS
For Athletes & Coaches
//We take performance seriously
The Process
01
Discuss
We will talk through your performance needs. To ensure we can capture what we need and how we can use it to help. We will then arrange when we come to you to you and get the assessment completed. *this does require a smart trainer
03
During The Test
We'll go through a simple health questionnaire, chat through the proctol. Talk you through what we are doing and why we are doing it during the test. This is a great time to ask questions and learn more about your physiology
02
Plan
Once a date is agreed, we will ensure what we are testing will help your performance and meet your expectations. We'll send over some information about everything so you know exactly what to expect
04
Feedback
We'll provide a full feedback report for you. This won't be some generic input and fill template. We take pride in our work. We will provide you an indepth report based not only on your results, but what this means for your racing and training needs. We will also include some suggestions and specific session based on the results as well. We can also have a follow up call to discuss anything you want with the test and report.
We want quality testing accessible for all
As we mentioned above this is available for everyone, even coaches for your athletes. This is a great way of ensuring quality testing with ease for your athletes.

Lactate testing has been a long standing method of performance testing for decades. We can with ease compare progress and identify key performance markers such as LT1 and LT2.

We have used this same testing in our research as well. [1] First we will establish a resting value. [2] Then we will choose a starting value anywhere from 80-160 W depending on estimated threshold. [3] Then we go up in four minute stages, we feel three is too short, in either 20 W or 30 W until we hit your LT2. It's as simple as that! We then finalise the analysis and send you over a report
Price
Testing start from £85.00. *Travel is added at 50p per mile for distance there, if travelling to you.
For reference we use the industry standard Lactate Pro 2. Article coming soon
For the determination of LT1 and LT2, we use a variety of methods depending on the shame and the base line. For LT1 we plot a 3rd order polynomial and use base line + 0.4 mMol.l-1 for the first threshold
